Mom came up while I was watching Project Runway and I said, "Tonight's episode has made me realize I have a problem."
"Oh?"
"Tim is wearing a three-piece suit. I really want him to take off his jacket so I can see him in the vest. That's all I want. Tim in a vest. Like when Ianto wears three-piece suits and takes off his jacket."
"Oh," she said, "but then Ianto has to roll up his sleeves."
Which caused a nice little moment of suit-related reflection.
Project Runway - 5.11
Liked: Jerell, Leanne, Korto
Borderline: Kenley
Meh: Suede
- Geez, Kenley needs to have her attitude taken down a peg or two. Her design was just weird. It wasn't horrific, IMO, but it was odd.
- I like Jerell more and more. His design as great. But I had a weird moment when Kenley was on the runway where she reminded me a lot of Deb on Dexter.
- I liked Leanne's country look. I thought Korto looked pretty great.
- Suede's design really was meh. It was capable and fine, but it wasn't new or exciting or even all that interesting. And while I thought it was great it looked like something Jerell would wear, it also just looked like something Jerell would wear. Normally. Without prompting.
- I liked the overall look of Korto's design for Suede, but I'm undecided over how I feel about the bleach treatment she did on the jeans. I think it's just the color that's giving me pause.
- I'm undecided about the final four as a whole. I'm kind of thinking Suede should probably have stayed. At least his was rock, even if it was toned down. Also, there's a picture of the whole Bryant Park thing over on BravoTV.com that I'm pretty sure gives away the top three.
Then there was ANTM. Two girls gone! Two girls I liked! Crazy! You know what, though? I'm actually totally fine with it. There are plenty of other girls I like left.
When it came down to the final two at judging, I was hoping Samantha would stay. I was all for Isis - I am all for Isis - but you can't deny that her pictures weren't turning out particularly well the last few photoshoots. She just wasn't quite delivering. And Samantha...well, I like to think what happened on the runway was a misunderstanding. It's there first runway! (At least for many of them. Maybe all of them this season.) It's not like she's done it before.
And Hannah...I'm sad to see her go. So abruptly and without warning! I'm not sure it's entirely fair to kick someone off because of their runway walk when it's their first time on the runway. Shouldn't you do it and then learn from it? I mean, sure, they had the day before at the bowling alley, but that's hardly anything. I don't know.
I'm not looking forward to certain girls possibly being triumphant next week over Isis being voted off.
