Upcoming: Peaches & Rodeo

annundrielThis afternoon I'm heading to Spokane to spend the weekend with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ginnith and her roommates. WOO. This will be my first time driving that sort of distance completely on my own, so that's exciting in it's own way.
Right now I'm thinking Google Maps is way better than MapQuest. MapQuest was totally trying to get me lost, I'm sure of it.
Next Wednesday I start selling peaches. I am both excited (YUM, peaches as big as your head!) and wary (BLAH, bad customers). They're actually starting on Monday, but I'm tied down to the library. People keep texting me to ask about the peaches, so I'll be glad to tell them that they'll get their yearly fix soon. Because, oh boy, goooooood fruit.
Oh, and white nectarines!! There had better be more of those this year. ::crosses fingers::
Also, it's fair/demolition derby/rodeo week. I'm undecided about going. Last year I went to the rodeo becauseolivelavonne was here and she'd never been. But after an hour or so of sitting there surrounded by people that are more my dad's friends, I get a little bored. And the fair, well, I like looking around at the animals and crafts and things (plus, mmm, ice cream and cotton candy), but I'm not too big on rides and games. Not really something I'm going to go alone, too. I'm still considering the rodeo, though, since Dad is so gung-ho about getting a group of people together. Social butterfly that he is.
