Torchwood Drabble
Apr. 15th, 2008 11:53 pmI really never thought I'd actually try to write anything Torchwood related. I don't know what happened. One minute I was sitting there Saturday, no big deal, then all of the sudden I was thinking of Ianto's face in "Fragments" and the whole mess of emotion on it at the end of his flashback and then this happened. It took me a couple of tries to get where I wanted with this, but in the end I think I succeeded. Thanks go once again to
trademybike.
Ianto leaves the warehouse with his emotions an untidy jumble in his chest. He’s gotten the job at Torchwood Three. Lisa needs him and it’s the only way he can help her. He’s grateful to Jack for that opportunity at least.
But he’s also afraid, a vague sort of fear, like he knows the danger is there but can’t yet identify it.
A lump of guilt twists in his gut as he walks away. Guilt when he thinks of Lisa, now cold and foreign, and the way Jack had lain laughing and panting under him, solid and warm and alive.
