Dec. 1st, 2007 07:38 pmAnother thing about "Miller's Crossing" that I didn't mention before but have been thinking of since. Watching Rodney attempt to break out of the lab where they were being kept and then seeing him get stunned, I realized that I wanted Jeannie to realize the kind of stuff her big brother has been through. In "McKay and Mrs. Miller," we saw her see several different sides of him that she hadn't before, which was great. But what about the Rodney that stepped between Elizabeth and a gun? That got tortured and still saved the day? The one that saved John from the Wraith in "The Defiant One"?
She teases him, pokes and prods, and that's exactly what siblings do, but at the same time I'd like her to realize that he's changed and is changing. He's done and been through and witnessed things that she can only have a very vague idea of.
As they were attempting to break out, I guess I just wanted Rodney to turn to Jeannie and say, "This isn't the first time I've done this, you know," and for her to give him a little break.
