Master and Commander
Date: 2003-08-05 10:05 am (UTC)The full title of the movie is Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. It stars Russell Crowe, Paul Bettany, and Billy Boyd among others. It takes place during the Napoleonic Wars aboard a tall ship. It is about the captain (Crowe) and the ship's surgeon (Bettany) and what happens aboard this ship. So far it should be very promising. The movie is based on books by Patrick O'Brien and, if the movie is well received, there could be a sequel.
Actually, it was supposed to be released on June 6th. It has been moved back until November 14th. This is very frustrating because one of the main reasons for the delay is that the movie makers want a better chance at some awards come Oscar season. Which upsets me because I have been waiting for this movie and now I have to wait longer just because someone wants to win an award. Bah.
Anyway. That is what I know.
