First day of work over and done with. I haven't really mentioned it here, but for the rest of the summer I'm helping a local family sell their peaches and nectarines. And, omg, let me just say these are basically the best peaches EVER. I was given one to take home, with the offer of more, and I keep catching a whiff of its scent and, oh, just the smell is delicious.
This morning I was supposed to be there at seven. At least, that's what Sheila told me yesterday. Dan suggests I wait until nine tomorrow. I am absolutely fine with that. As long as I don't have to wake up at 5:30, I'm good.
Even that wasn't so bad. I'm used to doing things without a lot of sleep. And today I mostly swept (a lot) and cleaned the shop. Though I did answer the phone quite a bit and sold two boxes of peaches. Woo.
Speaking of "woo," I completely forgot how much fun it is to ride a three-wheeler. WOO.
Oh, I should add that though I was supposed to be selling things, everyone forgot to leave me any cash to make change with. Luckily, the guy who wanted me to break a hundred was able to write a check instead.
