Lazy old days
Jun. 28th, 2003 04:41 pmI spent yesterday becoming intimate with my grandmother's ceilings. Or rather the spiders that had set up residence there. I have just one word to say: EW. Cleaning is so much fun. And that's my job for the summer! I get to help Grandma clean house and yard. I have no problem with this, I just wish people would stop reminding me all of the time. I can remember things. I have a brain believe it or not. And it's not that I don't love my grandma. I do! But everyone can be trying at times. Anyway, I'm working there to earn some spending cash for when I leave the nest. It's not a bad arrangement, I mean she only lives next door. In the past I used to tell her not to pay me. She's my grandma and as such she shouldn't have to pay me to do things for her. But I found now that I shouldn't argue.
Today I went to Moses Lake with Mom. Basically we went to drop off stuff at Good Will and go grocery shopping. I did some thinking on the prophecy in HP while she was in Wal-Mart and have several ideas that I'm going to think about some more before telling anyone else. Then while Mom was in Safeway I walked down to Hastings and bought Mort by Terry Pratchett and the soundtracks to The Hours and The Time Machine.
Speaking of which, Mom and I actually watched The Hours the other day. Very very good movie, if depressing. I'm amazed by the three leading ladies in it and would very much read the book. And now I keep thinking I should read something by Virginia Woolf.
EDITED because I took a quiz and wanted to share.

You are Tonks. You rock my mittens.
