My family is goofy. Mom sent me two e-mails with heavy use of the word "frack" and its variations. She also likes to go "!!!!!!11111!!" because we've had discussions (well, me ranting about it over the phone to her) about how annoying that is. So it's funny when she does it. Funnier because she's pretty slow at the whole typing bit, so maybe it's just an excuse for laziness...
And then yesterday, Greg garbage-disposeled half of the big pink cookie I bought Kay. (I LOVE those big pink cookies. YUM.) So Kay and I wailed about how "someone left the cookie in the drain and I don't think that I can take it, 'cause it took so long to get it and I'll never get to buy one again. OOOOOH NOOOOOO!!"
If you don't know "MacArthur Park", well, there's just no hope for you. That is some quality song writing that you're missing out on. ;)
Which led to discussion about just why exactly I know "MacArthur Park" (thank you, Dave Berry) and various other songs (like "Young Girl," "Honey," and "Mandy").
And now I have "Young Girl" stuck in my head. Which is actually strangely appropriate for Corinne. I guess that's my sign to go read more.
