Oh TV, You Keep Me Sane(-ish)
Sep. 4th, 2006 10:22 pmLots of laziness and television watching lately (like scary abusive Joe Flanigan on CSI: Miami). If I have to go back to school and work in a couple of weeks, why not take advantage of the free time?
Finally got to listen to the commentary for SGA's "Grace Under Pressure." As much as I love Martin Wood, and as interested as I am in how things are made, sometimes I would just like him to shut his trap. At least when he's with other interesting people. Or rather, I'd like other people not to be interrupted half the time.
Nip/Tuck starts tomorrow. Finally. Dylan Walsh! Julian McMahon! I love that I basically have no friggin' clue what they're going to do this season or where they're going to go (and once you go for the petrified baby fetus, well, I think most doors are open). And, damn, I should have re-watched the end of season three, because there are some details I can't remember. Well, okay, so one detail (the state of Christian and Kimber's relationship) I can't remember and I imagine that will be answered for me fairly quickly. I mean I remember, but it's kind of fuzzy. And now that I think about it and the commercials I've seen, I think I know the answer.
ETA: I'd forgotten that I'd posted about the season finale. So never mind the loss of memory there.
One of the things I love about the show is that even when the characters (well, Sean and Christian) do seriously detestable things, I just can't bring myself to hate them. I may dislike them for awhile, but at the end of the day I end up feeling for them. (Although I caught the beginning of the episode with the lady and the paper bag and I changed channels very very quickly because I did not need to see that again.) There was a whole arc last season (I think) where I didn't not like Sean very much, but then all of the sudden he turned around and did something and I was all "oh, Sean" again.
Randomly, there is a Sean McNamara that directs Even Stevens and Phil of the Future. Every time I see his name I do a little double take and have to smile.
