annundriel: (Feel Pretty (cplng))

Had an appointment with my dentist today. It had been about a year since I'd seen him and I was a little nervous to go in because I hate to disappoint people. (I'm afraid to disappoint Pam my nice hygienist. That's a little odd.) But my teeth and gums are perfect. Yea. Any aches I've been feeling probably have to do with how close the roots are to the sinuses. No cavities, just stupid hayfever.

Went to lunch with Grandma afterward because she had an appointment, too. Good trip to Quincy.

So. Overall, I'm kind of underwhelmed by this week's Project Runway.

Mom thought that perhaps they would be designing for a flight attendant. It could have happened. I told Mom at the time that they hadn't done any uniform challenges this season (USPS season one; figure skating season two), but now I realize that the Miss USA challenge kind of falls in that category because there are some specific does and don'ts there.

Anyway. I didn't understand Vincent's pant design worries. Yes, he's never done anything in mens wear, but women wear pants, too. And while men and women are slightly different shapes, they're not so different as to make it impossible.

Speaking of Vincent, I wanted to smack him while he was out on the runway for his grinning and (at least edited in) facial reactions to Uli's response to and from the judges. "Shut up, Vincent!" Mom just looked at me and said, "He didn't say anything." "No, but he was thinking it. You can tell."

How cool that they're in Paris!

- Though I dislike (read: HATE) Jeffrey right now, I really liked his outfit. It was very him, very what he does, and very now. But the pants kind of freaked me out a little. Okay, it was the crotch that freaked me out. (Mom says, "It's Jeffrey that freaks me out.") He's going to be kind of insufferable now, isn't he?

- Angela. I'm sad to see her go, honestly. I knew it was going to happen sooner rather than later, but at the same time, well, she seemed genuinely happy to be there and be doing things. She always waved hello/goodbye, talked to people, was friendly (not counting Jeffrey obviously). And her design? I liked it. Well, most of it. I thought that the top and pants were cute, though the embellishments (granny circles fleurchons) were kind of hinky on the pants. And the fabric used for the pants was kind of awful. But overall, I thought it was cute.

And, okay, so Angela is kind of crazy. But she's harmless.

- I also really liked laura's design. Very classy and very relaxed at the same time. Might have chosen a different color though. And boy, did she look a lot more pregnant in the preview for next week?

- Michael continues to be awesome. His original design looked neat, but then he was able to adapt it into something else. And he just looked cool when all was said and done.

- Kayne looked like Elvis took up ballroom dancing. Seriously. Just...yikes.

- Uli is still one of my favorites. Is it just me, or did they use that dress in promos at some point? Because I swear I've seen it somewhere. (Maybe it was just one very much like it and that just all ties into her doing the same thing over and over?)

- If Vincent makes it into the final three I...I don't know what I'll do. I'll have lost some of my respect for the judges ability to judge at least. I don't like him when he's weird. I don't like him when he's boring. And this week he even had to take his pants off. (Pants off dance off! Um. Yeah. If you don't know about that I can explain it to you.) I vote him off the runway.
