Oh, the Drama
Jul. 26th, 2006 08:32 pmHow funny was it seeing Tim walk over the grass surrounded by thirteen dogs? Hee!
I was glad to see Uli win this challenge. I really liked the outfit she designed and how she really thought about the dog as part of it. As compared with Keith who decided that designing for a dog was beneath him. (I hope the judges did see that he was lying his skinny ass off about not being happy with four different designs.)
I also really liked Alison, and from the judges' talk (about her getting the complete picture with the story and the hair and the design) I thought she was going to win. She still really reminds me of a vintage Barbie Doll. Or a French model from the 50s/60s. Or Bjork (but just a very little). There's just something about her face.
Catherine is out! I was a little shocked. I liked the garment in its simplicity. Unfortunately, when it comes to execution or design, it's usually the poor execution that gets people kicked off. Angela...well, her outfit was a little nuts. And definitely not appropriate clothing for someone dealing with such a young age group.
Keith is getting on my nerves. I grudgingly liked him at first, but now his attitude has really just put me off. (And I got to thinking just now (and
olivelavonne will be the only one that gets this) about how I would react to McKay on a reality show like this. Would I hate him? Or would his confidence/arrogance pull me in? ) I'm hoping next week goes down like I think it's going to. And boy did Tim look pissed in the previews.
Bradley was a big surprise. I was a little "hmm" about his outfit until his model walked down the runway, and then I liked how it matched the dog. But it was jaw-dropping surprising when the judges adored it. I was so pleased for him! But I couldn't help asking Mom, "They're pulling his leg, aren't they?" because it just seemed so strange. Anyway. I hope they all went and had a good time for his birthday.
Let's see...I guess I don't really have anything else to say about the episode. Mostly my opinions, good and bad, were supported by what was shown. I still like the people that I liked last week and I'm still put off by the people I was put off by last week. Am liking Jeffery more and more. Really liked Michael's design. The only outfit I was seriously unimpressed by was Vincent's.
I will say that I'd like to see more of some of the other designers, like Bonnie and Michael. They don't get a lot of camera time.
And, of course, Tim's Take is always worth a read. Because, yes, exactly. What he said.
