Guess What I Did Today
Jul. 18th, 2006 02:52 pmI spent two and an half hours this morning on a tractor raking hay.
It was exciting, let me tell you. Actually, it was very zen-like. And not boring for the first hour+. After an hour the song that was stuck in my head got boring. I reverted to "Henry the Eighth," because if anything is an earworm, that song is. (Except I can't remember the beginning of it.)
So yes. Raking. It was an experience. I didn't suck at it and I didn't break any equipment worth lots of money. I also didn't injure myself or others. Plus, we finished that field. All in all, a productive morning. It did mean only four hours of sleep last night, but whatever.
In other not-revolving-around-me news, apparently the designer accused of being less than honest wrote a note to the Project Runway blog denying the allegations. I liked the designer fine. I'm interested in seeing more if they don't get kicked off. However, there is no excuse for NOT USING THE SHIFT KEY. See how easily I used it there? It works well for signaling the beginnings of sentences, proper nouns, and acronyms. You can also use it to emphasize something. The shift-key is handy. It is your friend. Use it.
Okay, so I'll admit to not using shift sometimes, but only to make a point or for stylistic purposes. And it doesn't always bug me, but, yes, I do have issues with the reasoning behind not using it.
Yeah. Eureka premiers on the SciFi channel tonight. As does Dead Like Me, which I highly suggest that people look into. It's a fantastically weird show.

Date: 2006-07-18 10:30 pm (UTC)I might peek at Dead Like Me, since I've been told so many times I need to see it and I never got around to poking at the DVDs you let me borrow... but we'll have to see what I get accomplished around the house. I need to get this place in tip top shape before Michele gets here on Thursday.
But yes. Eureka. I can't wait.
Oooh. And what about that new show.. Standoff? With Gina Torres and Ron Livingston on... NBC, is it? Whatever channel... I can't wait for it this fall.
