Another Year Older

The best part - and it's really only the best part because no one got hurt - happened during the singing of "Happy Birthday." I was sitting at the table, cake and candles in front of me, waiting for the song to be over so I could blow them out, when all of the sudden the cat jumps on my leg and bounds onto the table. She was headed straight for the center of the cake when my brother grabbed her mid-leap, saving us all from a cat on fire and a ruined party.
All I even saw was the cat flying from my leg to the cake, it happened so fast. Never a dull moment.

ginnith met us for dinner, which was a lovely surprise! And Thursday afternoon sdrohc_ratiug came over and we watched the first three episodes of Torchwood season two. It's been a good couple of days for seeing friends.
