Bacon?

Mom's burning this candle down in the living room. Apparently it's gingerbread. But to me it smells like bacon and maple syrup. It's not a bad smell. Just a little weird.

We're not doing anything special this holiday season. The holidays are not kind to florists and Mom has to work tomorrow. She usually does. But this year we decided that it's just too much trouble trying to deal with the weather in the mountains and Seattle can wait. Besides, we can't leave Grandma and the animals home alone.

So tomorrow it's church in the evening and a family dinner on Tuesday. Nice and quiet.
