Dog-sitting is going fine. Except for the part last night when Kirby decided it would be fun to growl at a point more than half-way up the wall and bark for no apparent reason. I know, I know. Dogs hear things that we can't. But the action was so specific that it unnerved me a bit.
Then I stayed up and geeked out over Star Trek and Star Wars on the History channel. And speaking of geeking out, I love the "Live Smart" commercials SciFi is running for Eureka. "Nothing pulls a community apart like mutation."
Meanwhile, I've been spending some time out on the deck reading. Specifically, reading Bleak House. I find the whole situation kind of funny, given the content and title of the book and the environment in which I'm reading it. Funny that I finally hit summer and the first thing I pick up for fun (not counting Lamb as I started that during school) is Dickens.
Of course, sitting on the deck means I'm sitting in the sun. Which apparently makes my arms itch. Kind of a lot. And it's only the parts being exposed to sun, like my arms, the tops of my ears, and the back of my neck. Sometimes my face. And it's not like I'm getting sunburned. I'm not out there long enough. It's just odd.
