OMG SQUEE!!!

I'd like to apologize in advance for the rampant fan-ness of this post. But I couldn't help it, and I look forward to so few things really. (Sorta.)

I have seen the teaser that was shown at Comic Con for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Granted, the teaser shows, like, nothing movie wise. But the reality that it's actually out there with people making it? Well, that deserves excitement, right? And I haven't been this excited over a simple teaser since the first Harry Potter movie. OK, so maybe that's a little bit of a lie, because the other teasers for that and LotR have gotten me pretty excited, but DUDE! It's Douglas Adams!! I mean the brilliance and the hilarity and the philosophy and and all of the other stuff.

And I realize that the teaser probably doesn't warrant this level of excitement. And the movie may even be crap, but right now I'm happy.

This makes me desperately want to see the old BBC version again. Despite the quality. :)

Ford Prefect: How would you react if I told you that I'm not from Guildford after all, but from a small planet somewhere in the vicinity of Betelgeuse?

Anyone who hasn't read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy really really should. I think I know what I'll be (re)reading after I finish The Sparrow. Whee!

Aw, frell.

It's been raining on and off for the past two days, and I think it may be raining now. There's part of my college tuition money going down the drain right there.

Rain, rain go away come again another day...

Mom and I watched Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis today. I'm really loving Atlantis. The following conversation ensued.

[RE: Shepherd's hair]
MOM: Comb your hair!
ME: It's a style. It's his thing.
MOM: It looks like someone took a hand-beater to it.
ME: Maybe he was attacked by one of the women. Or one of the men.
MOM: Or both.
ME: (did she just say what I think she said?) Both?
MOM: He looks that way.
ME: What, like he would swing both ways?
MOM: Well, yeah.
ME: *snortgigglelaugh*

She has no idea the sort of things that go on throughout the internet and the fandom, and yet she picked up on that. Heh. *hearts*

I'm in a really good mood right now, what's up with that? I'm also really really cold.
