Question! And stuff...
Sep. 25th, 2003 03:09 pmI am thinking of purchasing an album by Tori Amos. Anyone have any suggestions as to which one???
Also, I'm thinking of having Mom bring one or two DVDs up when she comes on Saturday. Any ideas on which one(s)?? I have: Buffy 1-4, Angel 1-2, Moulin Rouge, Strictly Ballroom, Pride & Prejudice, Amelie, and Neverwhere. I'm seriously thinking about maybe a season of Buffy (although which one I don't know) or Angel. Or something.

Well, I have now had an experience in each of my three classes this quarter. And survived. Woo. I am actually sitting here doing *gasp* homework!
-7:45-9:10 am MTF: Studies in Modern Civilization. TOO. EARLY. Should be easy enough. *knock on wood* It's a discussion class. We do the reading for the next class, write down two questions to turn in to spur discussion. We will, of course, have all the test type things as well. Pretty basic, simple stuff.
-1:45-2:50 pm MTTHF: Freshman English. Fun! I'm looking forward to this class. The professor was super excited about it. It's her first year teaching here and she actually GIGGLED in class. This is soooo my kind of teacher. She also brought us homemade brownies and fruit because once you "break bread" together you "can't be enemies". Again a lot of discussion. No quizzes. Interpreting, writing, keeping a "meta-journal" for the purpose of writing about our writing. She will also bring us food other times as well as take us to her house. Should be a fun, interesting class. And only an hour.
-3:35-5:40 pm MW: Experiencing Theater. Fun! Again! Also looking forward to this class. We get to, or rather HAVE to as it's mandatory, go to plays and operas and performances and things as part of the class. FUN. The professor here seems really excited about it all, too. Can't wait. We'll be doing a lot of analyzing and learning about plays and what it takes to make one. Stuff I know a bit about already. Go me! First play is tomorrow. Topdog/Underdog is what it's called I think.
Of course, the play Friday screwed up my plans of going to Kay and Greg's on Friday night because the play won't be over until a bit after 10 and they'll be at their beach house already. I was sad I couldn't get away. BUT it turns out that Andrea will come and get me! Yea! So I'll spend Friday night alone at Kay and Greg's and Mom and possibly Dad and Tom will come over Saturday to see me. Woo.
There are a couple nice things about living in the dorm I live in. 1) Everything on campus is in walking distance because Bellarmine is nicely situated in a middle-ish part of campus. 2) There is a Starbucks RIGHT. ACROSS. THE STREET. *happyGollumdance*
I totally need a Gollum icon. Totally.
