Mar. 30th, 2003 07:17 pmI had one of the best rehearsals last Wednesday. It's the strangest thing. I've been to many rehearsals before, but last Wednesday everything really seemed to click. It could have been that one of the more trying actors left mid-way through, but I like to think that everyone was just really into what they were doing.
The first part of the rehearsal was for taping and line memorization of the first scene. Nothing exciting. Was shown once again that Ike may not know his lines, but he still adds more emphasis than some who do. But the second half was where things really got interesting. Directing is great, but I miss actually acting. Instead of just reading for the people who were gone I actually got up and filled in. I had so much fun! We did a lot with staging and movement, adding several things that should turn out to be hilarious in the finished product. They were certainly funny enough during rehearsal. Most of them have to do with the treatment of the butler whenever he enters. Can't wait to do more with it.
