What's with this higher edjucation thing anyway?

I'm not happy with Mythology. I mean, I enjoy the subject, but the class is disappointing. The professor's good outside of class, but in class it's another story. This weekend I worked on the vocab for the first ten chapters of Classical Mythology and half the words were repeated, a third of them were misspelled, and some of the others I just plain could not find.

She does not have her shit together. Which makes it very difficult to prepare for the class as a student because if the professor doesn't have their shit together, how the hell can you?

Yeah. I don't really want to be here right now. I feel behind and slow and dull. I want to be back on the farm, curled up on the couch with a blanket and a book and Mom watching The Daily Show in the background. In other words, I'm kind of feeling the need to go fetal.

I'm at that place where if feels like tears are needed to cleanse, but they're just not there. Damn it.

Plus, no more new Atlantis and I'm almost finished with Battlestar Galactica. I am completely looking forward to Apples to Apples at trademybike's because at the very least I can do something different for an hour.

That seems to be the consensus on Cumberland. She never has her shit together and then grades you down for it. Mark her hard on the eval.

She drives me nuts. I like talking to her outside of class, but as soon as she's infront of the class it just kind of goes away. And it's not like she's not engaging, it just doesn't appear to have been thought out and I'm not really learning anything.

It's just really frustrating.

Well Mary, I'm gonna be a complete douchebag asshat and not get you BSG 2.0 today - I'm not going to either class. I have a doctors appt at 3:45 for my possibly broken toe and I have to get there early to do new patient forms and whatever else. I can't walk well, so as shitty as it sounds, it's a big inconvenience for me to walk to the other side of campus for Ethics, leave at break and walk all the way to the other side of campus. And I rescheduled my midterm for tomorrow afternoon. (Man Cumberland talks loud on the phone - I had the entire conversation with her on my phone's lowest volume setting and STILL away from my ear). Anyway, I'll see you on Thursday.

DIRTY WHORE. Don't worry about it. :) I'm not finished with season 1 yet anyway, and probably won't be until tomorrow. As much as I'm loving it, I can wait.

Hope everything turns out okay with your toe. Completely understandable reason for not walking around campus.
