Um. DUDE.

(This is all very rambly and not in any sort of order because I am laaaaaazy.)

I was pretty much all over emotionally during the finale. Started out teary with Kimber and then was various levels of horrified, touched, appalled, thankful, etc. Yes, all over. There was also lots of yelling at the screen, especially when Quentin dropped his trousers and the police photographer person just gaped.

The Carver. Not surprised. Did they really think they were kidding anyone the entire season? I mean, really. And my suspicions of Kit weren't entirely misplaced!

I have to say that I was disappointed that the Carver reveal wasn't more exciting. They tried to make it exciting, and I will admit that I got all sorts of freaked out over poor Sean, but really it was just like, "well, yeah."

I forgot that Gina was attacked. Whoops.

Julian McMahon and Dylan Walsh give some of the best terrified/sad faces ever. Really. Most of the episode I just wanted to wrap Sean up. I don't know what it is these last few eps. Although, god, I laughed so hard at him in Julia's dream. (Very freaky dream with the eel thing in the bath and just ew.)

What's wrong with Sean and Julia's baby? Julia, you really need to tell Sean this sort of stuff. Remember what happened last time you kept stuff about babies a secret from him? Yeah, that didn't turn out so well. GO TO COUNSELING or something. Sheesh.

Oh, Matt. Matt Matt Matt. You *finally* did something decent this season and oh how I cheered for you. And then your psychotic ex-girlfriend and her crazy-ass father had to fuck everything up. And how freaky was that anyway? Yes, Matt, boring is something you're going to need lots of now. How are they going to handle this next season, I wonder? Because, sure, they murdered a man. But he kidnapped and tortured them and was planning on murdering Cherry (was that her name?).

Really loved the cutting between Sean, Christian, and Quentin and Matt, Cherry, and Crazy-Ass Father. That was very well done and I was pretty much squirming because I couldn't watch but oh I couldn't look away.

Also, really randomly, I totally want the song that Quentin played while torturing Sean and Christian and during the end.

Maybe more thoughts later. ::shrug:: It's sort of all jumbled in my head. And *so much* happened. When's next season start? :)

I think I'm going to save "The Tower" to watch either tomorrow or the next day. I can't really focus on more television right now, even if it is SGA. (Besides which, I'm horrible when it comes to spoilers and have been reading other people's reviews and it doesn't sound like I'm missing out on anything if I wait a couple of days.) Probably watch it Thursday. Tomorrow we're probably going to see King Kong and if we get back in time there's Project Runway to point and laugh at. (Even though I love it! But, oh, the drama makes me giggle!)

Back to writing!

It's been hours since I watched it and I'm *still* bouncing and wired over it. That was an intense two hours of television.

See, I couldn't see it being Christian not only because of the main character thing, but because I just could not see him being that sort of person. Yes, he does like to have power over people and belittle them and generally be a jerk about certain things, but I get the vibe that he's also intensely protective of the people he loves. So really, the whole "Christian's the Carver" thing flew out the window for me from the beginning because I just couldn't see him doing that to Sean. And then I couldn't see him doing that to Kimber. And, yeah, sure there are mental issues that would allow him to be both the protective friend/lover and the serial rapist, but factor in the main character thing and Christian was pretty much out of the running. Have to say, I never really suspected Sean.

When Quentin was revealed I did freak out, but mostly because of poor Sean. And I *really* freaked out when he was going to clip Sean's fingers off. He got going on that little rant about opposable thumbs and I'm going "OMG NO!" at the TV and sort of flailing on the couch. And then Christian begging him to leave Sean alone and hurt him instead! And the look on both of their faces' the whole time. And, yes, I also thought Christian was going to end up without a hand.

There was just awhile there where I didn't really think anyone was going to make it through the episode without at least some serious wound.

Oh, when they revealed Quentin tied up, Mom went "Well, I guess that rules him out." But it really didn't. It wouldn't be so hard to tie yourself up like that and make it look like someone else did it.

And, well, I agree with everything you say about Sean and Julia. And Sean in general. What happened all of the sudden? I mean, usually I'm distracted by Christian's slight accent, but lately Sean has just been really freakin' adorable and attractive and, yes, cuddly. It's like I'm watching and it's fine and then he does something, like bring Julia ginger ale, and I go all goofy over him.

I don't remember this "finish your sentence" juxtaposition...

God, this ep is just gonna be bouncing around in my head for awhile. SO GOOD.
