"they say I'm going craaazy"
Aug. 17th, 2005 11:44 pmThought Crimes (Toughtcrimes?) came today. Hee! Mom and I both really enjoyed it. JF's just adorable. When we got to the end, though, Mom's like, "I kind of wish his hair had been different." Not because it's bad hair, but just for some variety I think. But it's totally something we would have watched weekly if it had become a weekly show.
Really liked the fact that some of the thoughts Freya heard weren't in English. Made it all somewhat more real. And it's actually a detail I probably wouldn't have thought of or noticed if it hadn't been there. And, hey, Harper was in SV (big whoop) and in Terminator 2 with Robert Patrick who was Sumner in SGA with JF! (I spent part of a summer doing this with Jane Austen movies and Hugh Grant. It was quite fun.) Everything's connected. Also liked the chemistry between Navi Rawat and JF.
And, y'know, just massive amounts of love for JF (but I might be biased by now).
I've had the Scooby-Doo theme song stuck in my head since watching.
The only bad thing is that the DVD is region two, so I can't watch it on my computer. Fiddlesticks. And you know what's funny? Every DVD I've ordered from Amazon UK comes without any sort of packaging. Except for maybe Jonathan Creek, but that was a box set.
Weird.
The guys all went to the fair and the demolition derby today. Just us girls here at home, watching crime TV. I love USA and TNT for all of the Law & Order the show. Really. If there's nothing else on, just flip to TNT and you are bound to find an episode of L&O. Only bad thing is that they've re-edited it or something. Because the commercials come at funny spots and you can spot where the original commercial breaks were. Why do they do that?
Also, watched Oprah the other day, which is unusual because unlike most of America I don't care one way or the other about her, but I got sucked in my the pathologicaltoasters liars. (Neesha will get the toaster thing. I swear. Viva la Izzard!) They were frustrating. But, anyway, *damn* that channel has a lot of commercials on it. We are now even getting Canadian commercials, which just threw me off the first time I saw one. I was like, "I've never heard of that place," and then they showed locations across Canada and I was all, "bwah?" Mentioned a Canadian holiday, too. So Dad explained that Spokane broadcasts across the boarder into Canada because, according to him, there's nothing up there between Vancouver and Edmonton. Personally, I don't know. I've never been up there. I've only been out of the country once and that was to Mexico. For an hour or half a day or something. At the tender age of four.
How the hell did I get started on Canadian commercials?
ANYway. Joe Flanigan. Goofy and endearing. And hot, can't forget that. (And I know I said that if I ever called someone that to please slap me, but *damn* it's the only word I can think of.) Neesha, you *have* to come over so I can watch it again without feeling obsessive and weird. :)
Hey, it's Edward Norton's b-day (08/18). He and Dr. McDowell do look strangely a like. Sound it, too. Kasey totally hit that comparison on the head.
Seattle tomorrow!

How'd the boys like the fair and such? We didn't end up going because I got called to work. With the rain and all, I'm kinda thankful.
Have a super time in Seattle! Give the kiddos lots of hugs and kissy things!!

Date: 2005-08-18 07:29 pm (UTC)CrabPanda!Yeah, I didn't think I'd have to twist your pinkies too much. Because, as you so wisely pointed out to me, JOE.
I have no idea how they liked the fair. I think they enjoyed it. Dad seems to have had fun at the demo-thing. Didn't hear anything about rain, so I think they missed those parts.
Thanks! It'll be nice to be elsewhere for a couple of days.
