SG-1 - "Avalon Pt. 2"

Massive love. Still. :) Still not missing Jack. At the moment, not even missing Sam. But that might be the shiny distraction that is Vala (still hot).

- Was thrilled that Mitchell solved his puzzle by himself. Hee!

- Every now and then something happens and I'm surprised by the realization of how much I do actually love Teal'c. Some days I may want the Jaff story lines to get out of the way, but the Teal'c-love remains. Plus, ARMS.

- Jack's not telling anybody anything. Heh. Such a Jack-thing to do.

- Gonna have to re-watch the Ori part because I was distracted. But I got enough out of it all to hope that the rest of the season will remain interesting.

Gotta say, I'm looking forward to when SG-1 really is back together, minus O'Neill. So far I've really enjoyed the dynamics between Mitchell, Daniel, and Teal'c. Vala, too, but she doesn't count. Even though I don't really want her to leave.

Are they planning on ending every episode this season with "To be continued?"

SGA - "Intruder"

Not much to say except that I loved it. First thoughts were, "omg, it's Murder on the Orient Express in *space*!"

- Loved the fact that McKay was still referring to Sheppard as "Major" and had to be reminded. Liked the confused look on his face.

- McKay, Sheppard, and Hermiod. So funny. So perfect. I think Hermiod must be the Asgard equivalent of McKay. And the squinty-eyed side stares between Shep and Hermiod, the whispered conversation between Sheppard and McKay about the lack of clothing. All of it had me in giggles. Although...how come no one ever remembers anymore that technically Teyla's an alien? But she's got abs and shirts that show them off, so whatever I guess.

- Rodney's reaction to Whatshisface being trapped in the other room and getting sucked in to space. :( Tears! There were tears. Really, that's all I've got to say about that. Had to wonder about how well they knew each other, though. I mean, it sounded like Rodney was using a last name, but the other guy kept calling him Rodney, implying some sort of familiarity. Poor, random dude. Also, McKay's chin totally woobled.

And it's his reaction that makes me both want and fear a crossover with SG-1 and a possible appearance of Carter. Because he's really not the same guy he was. And I'm afraid that if they did bring Carter on over, the writers would revert to pre-Atlantis McKay and forget that he's developed. On the other hand, if they didn't revert, I think it could be quite fun to watch Carter be completely gobsmacked by him. Or something.

I just really like those two and would love to see some new stuff between them.

- Only part that I kinda cringed at was McKay's, um, scrunching up for the Asgard transport into the hanger. And then I got over it when John and Rodney just *stared* at each other when they thought they might die. (Obviously they were wondering how long they would have to snog before they died. Really. That look usually only happens right before the leads grab each other. Similar to Jack and Sam in "Moebius Pt.2.")

- And then the two of them in the ship!! HEE! "Wanna take the stick?" "Really?" "...No." I don't know much (read: anything really) about inertial dampeners and how they work and all, but I was concerned over McKay's reacting to the whole situation. Until they brought it up and Sheppard explained how at those speeds, they would still feel stuff. Which I'll buy, 'cause I don't really know and because it's a television show about people who go through a big ring to other planets and sometimes galaxies.

- Also really liked the scene between Sheppard and Ford's cousin. John's just got a lot weighing on him. And he handles it all so well. Love.

- Glad that they gave some closure to the Elizabeth/Simon thing. But now that they've done that, they might try to really pair her up with someone (Sheppard). I'd be okay with that, but I would really rather that they left romantic relationships in the hands of the fans and not on the actual show. Sort of like what they're doing with the Sam/Jack thing now. Neither confirm, nor deny anything.

- Spent a lot of the episode wondering if Zelenka really was going to be in it. And he was! And he looked so pleased and smiley coming after Elizabeth. Yea. Okay, so now I have to admit that I would be okay with the relationship stuff if it were done really well. And there's a part of me that would sort of like to see a nice little side romance with Weir/Zelenka. But really, I think I'd rather they didn't pair of their really main people with their other really main people.

Geez, I'm such a hypocrite.

Oh, and apparently Novak stayed on Earth. Damn it. I like her.

Anyway. Yeah, really enjoyed it. But than, as I told Neesha, I would enjoy it if it was just John and Rodney walking around in circles being smart and snarky for an hour.

Upon watching the bit with Sheppard and McKay again, I turned to Mom and said, "You know, the radiation may not be enough to kill them, but I bet it's enough to keep them from having kids."

Mom replied, "They can't really have kids together anyway."

"Yeah, well, now they really can't."

Mom may not get the slash (she might, I'm not entirely sure), but she's totally up for some innuendo.

Tomorrow gotta help Mom with a...funeral, I think. Possibly a wedding. But I think a funeral. That's kinda bad that I can't remember which.

Other than that, still doing nothing with my time. There was a thunderstorm, lots of rain. Watched Farscape. In the evening the light turned everything green and gold. Oh, then watched brand new season two DVDs of Dead Like Me. Yea. "I'm so smart, I'm practically retarded." Ha.
