Wasn't going to say anything about SG-1/SGA except that, even though certain things were slightly disappointing, I'm willing to forgive because I'm still high with the excitement of the shows being back, and omg I love them (but not the credits). But now I find I think I'm going to have to actually blather about them.

SG-1 - "Avalon Pt. 1"

- Really like Cameron Mitchell. I was a little concerned I wouldn't. Not because he's not O'Neill, but because I love Ben Browder and had certain expectations because of that. So far though? Not disappointed.

- Liked Landry. Should be interesting. Loved the Rader-like interaction with Walter. (Yea Walter!!!)

- Is it bad that right now I don't miss O'Neill that much? I mean, I love him. I do. But I think there's enough character to the other, well, characters that there's not a gaping O'Neill shaped hole. At least not yet.

- Going with the whole disbanding of SG-1...Their explanations and reasons made sense. Poor Mitchell. (Poor Teal'c and his politics. Which I'm still not completely caught up on.)

- LOVE Vala. So much. Claudia Black is wonderful and hot. I don't know if they did it on purpose, but my mother and I were amused by the possible Farscape reference in her wink at Mitchell while talking about being pregnant and who the father could be. Love the gene pool comment and her "Let's make babies!" in the infirmary.

- "Bullets bounce!" Very Crichton. Loved Teal'c's expression.

Overall just massive love because they're silly and I like them.

SGA - "The Siege Pt. 3"

- Second time watching I was really struck by Rodney's little acknowledgment of John blowing up the hiveship. Can't remember what he said, think it was just re: someone says John succeeded. "Yes, he did." Sounded so bereft, so this-really-is-it.

- Let's just get it out there that basically anytime Rodney was on the screen I was grinning like a maniac. And perving on his back. Forgiving his little gun malfunction (and the writers) because he was tired and out of sorts. And never a soldier. And who trains astrophysicists for Wraith sieges anyway?

- And also? Teyla saved his ass. And that was cool. And made me happy. If I can't have slash, or wild SGA orgies, I'd like to have Teyla/McKay.

- Okay, so anytime Rodney or John was on the screen I was pretty much just blissed out. And any time they interacted that was doubled.

- Really like Caldwell. Loved the scene with Everett.

- Biggest peeve? How could Ford fly the 'jumper? When did that happen?

- Liked the Sheppard/Weir hug. And their interactions. If I have to see het, I think I'd prefer Shep/Weir to Shep/Teyla.

- Also happy whenever Zelenka showed up. And Beckett. Was surprised and pleased that Novak was on the Daedalus. I liked her on SG-1! And Hermiod was funny.

- All the shots of Atlantis were gorgeous. I love it when they have money for special effects.

This is devolving into...something. Better stop and just say I'm ridiculously happy.

I think I'm just easy to please.

Also, they start showing Firefly on Sci-fi next week. Shiny!

Still don't know what blew up last night. But now Julia's got me connecting it to the random bizarro noises sometimes heard in the house. Bah.

I want to know what it was!

In the meantime, I found one of my absolute favorite pictures of home. Fall sunset looking east.

I do indeed. :) We own and farm as far as the eye can see in that picture.

What's your icon from? It almost seems vaguely familiar.

Thanks. :) I'm quite fond of it. I've got some other sunset pictures I'm thinking about posting as well. It's Washington state.

I thought that was Python related! :)

Licensed to Kill is on Spike TV. And the bad guy (the one from Stargate) has an iguana on his shoulder.

Anywho, just thinking of you and poking in to say 'hi'.
