I've Got a Loverly Bunch of Coconuts
Jul. 11th, 2005 11:09 pmI have spent the entire day reading SGA fanfiction and accomplishing nothing of any worth in the real world. Except for watering plants. I did that. Despite the swarming beehive.
Fantastic day of laziness. Oh, how I love summer vacation.
And then I watched the Inside Sci-fi Friday thing on the Sci-fi channel and giggled and squeed a lot. I know what I'm doing this Friday!
Wenatchee tomorrow. Dentist on Wednesday. Neesha is also coming over Wednesday so we can stuff out faces while chilling out and watching either Firefly, Atlantis or Farscape. Possibly a combination. Looking forward to that part of Wed. The dentist part though, not so much. Even though they're all really nice there. Last time my teeth were really good. I'm not sure they stayed that way. I don't want the hygienist and dentist looking at me in a disapproving manner.
Still not excited about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. There was an article in the Seattle Times on Saturday about older fans of HP growing away from/becoming less obsessively enamored with the books. Mom pointed this out to me and we went, "Hey! That's exactly what I feel like." And then I read it and they mostly talked to thirteen year olds. Maybe I need to start hanging out with a younger crowd. Or maybe I've got other issues with the HP books now. I don't know. I do know that I will eventually read the book, but I don't feel the need to pre-order or go stand in line or even buy it sometime this month. And I guess that kind of surprises me, especially considering how into it I was before.
Whatever. It's July 15 I'm excited about. Too bad Neesha will be working. Sad panda.
