Second full day alone at Kay and Greg's. So far have done nothing but read and watch television and DVDs. Yea laziness.

But in all of the TV watching, I have determined that yes, I do infact still despise Tom Cruise. A lot. I want to see War of the Worlds, but I'd want to see it more if he wasn't in it. Also, I'm amused by the fact that Ioan, um, I can't spell his last name, is stuck hosting a Fourth of July thing on Comedy Central with his Fantastic 4 castmates. 'Cause really, what does he care about America's independence day being Welsh and all? Yea marketing.

Ticked at Sci-fi for not showing SGA on Friday as it would have been the only episode I have not seen. Bastards.

Still reading Haunted, though slightly less actively than before. I'm afraid I'll really freak myself out with it. That bit about Comrade Snarky? Whoa.

So, yeah. I'm bored.

Tom Cruise sucks and so does Scientology. But War of the Worlds was pretty good despite being overtly suspenseful.

Buh.... I'm too lazy to go rooting for my copy of Haunted... what was Comrade Snarky's story again?

I told myself I'd read it again this summer, but at the rate I'm reading the Aubrey/Maturin series, I'll be starting Haunted next year. ha

Comrade Snarky's story was about the women and their "speaking bitterness" and their abuse of Miranda because she wasn't born a woman. Which was, actually, pretty upsetting to read if I think about it, but what *really* made me go "whoa" was what killed Snarky...

They thought she was dead (though I'm not entirely sure Miss America knew and was just lying about not feeling a pulse) and so they carved up her ass to eat it. And then she wanders down the stairs and is all "You guys have food?" And then she realizes after awhile and dies. I just had a feeling that was going to happen. And then Palahniuk really did go there. It's great.

Yeah, ew. Just ew. No more sharing about Haunted. NO. Because ew. And now I can't get that image of the kid in the pool out of my mind. So thanks for that lovely bit of ewness. I'll have to repay you. (Insert evil laughter here)
