Spacemonkey!
Apr. 11th, 2005 06:15 pmToday McDowell gave out a sheet of some literary terms and used Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett as an example of parody. He even pronounced "Gaiman" correctly. Yea!
Also, he does an awesome impression of T. S. Eliot. Sounds eerily like him. It's freaky and hilarious and fantastic.
Finally watched "The Serpent's Lair" (SG-1 2.01). I want Jack/Sam, but I'm tellin' ya, Jack and Daniel slash themselves. They don't need any help. Told Mom this on the phone. She just laughed. Poor Daniel, telling them to take off without him because they're all going to die anyway. :( ("It's surprisingly difficult to kill you, isn't it?") He sounds really young when he gets distressed. But Jack called him "spacemonkey" in the end and it was the best hug ever! Now I'm about half-way through "In the Line of Duty" and the Tok'ra just got mentioned, so *finally* I'll get to really learn about them. And Jacob Carter shows up for the first time this season so *finally* there, too.
So, yes.
It is raining now. And cold. I have work in about forty minutes and I'd rather just stay here and watch SG-1 and read Sin City. Am now on the second book, A Dame to Kill For. It's awesome. Mom and I are going to try to see it this weekend. Woo.
I have nothing interesting or important or ranty to say. Just obsessive. Sigh.
