Best outing ever. The movie was being shown - invitation only - on Queen Anne Avenue and turned out to be not such a big deal getting there. It was actually only two blocks from the Intiman, so I talked Natasha into taking a 3 instead of a 2 and it was all good and no new bus routes. Plus, if we had taken a 2, the exciting thing would never have happened.

And, OK, it's not that exciting.

Down near West Lake Center we stop at a bus stop and there's, like, a bunch of people in matching outfits waiting to get on. Natasha and I were both kind of "meh, go away". But they got on and were standing around the front of the bus where we were sitting and Natasha's reading their sweaters and we discovered that we were surrounded by tall Australian basketball (we think) players. A whole group. Taller than me! And I was wearing my boots with the two inch heels! And Australian! And attractive! But probably under the age of consent. (What is the age of consent in Australia anyway?) I normally don't get like this about, well, anybody "real" (actors do not count), but it was a group and in close quarters and yeah.

That alone would have made the venture worth it.

So anyway. We got there about an hour and an half early, so we went to the Kidd Valley that was right on the corner. And then we stood in the special screening line for a while and it wrapped all of the way around the corner. Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason was thoroughly enjoyable. I laughed *so* hard. The whole theater did. Funnier than the first movie. And completely adorable. I can even completely forgive them the changes they made from the book. Because it totally worked. Eh, well, except for maybe the Rebecca twist. I liked it, but it kind of came out of nowhere. Anyway, massive hearts. Go see it when it's released.
