Ok, so you remember a few weeks ago -- or maybe not even that long ago -- when you were sort of lamenting about how all you write is "just porn?" And I blathered on about how yours is never "just porn," it has depth and emotion and...a beauty to it? Re-read this [fic] every time you think to yourself that you only write "just porn." These are not just two guys fucking for the sake of fucking. Or, blowing, in this case. This is Dean recognizing he has what he wants, how he wants it. Realizing that the connection between him and Cas is not just about the body but the soul. This is about LOVE, not sex. Even if they don't say the words.
And THAT is why you're good. Nay, AWESOME. 'Cuz you could write all the porn I could ever read, but it would all be the same ol' shit, and I'd get tired of it after awhile. My favorite fics have the feelings and the connection. Those are the fics I can read on a loop until the end of time. Because that's hotter than any casual fuck.
