I saw True Grit again, this time with [livejournal.com profile] sdrohc_ratiug, my dad, and - you'll never believe this! - my brother! I invited him and he said yes! As [livejournal.com profile] sdrohc_ratiug said, ""I can't believe I'm sitting next to your brother. It's like seeing a unicorn. And then going to the movies with if."

The movie remains awesome. There was more of an audience this time, and they were more responsive to the film. Except for the one lady in the row in front of us who dozed off and snored a wee bit.

I also watched the first part of Downton Abbey on Masterpiece Classics with my mom. It was fun playing, "Hey! That Chick/Dude Looks Familiar!" I also really enjoyed it. That sort of thing is right up my alley.

Tomorrow I'm supposed to get Easy A from Netflix, which I am looking forward to. I've gotten back into watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. Don't know why I paused in the first place; it's such a brilliant show. I guess at least by putting it on hold since October I've managed to draw out the length of the series? Sort of? No? Oh well.

True Grit is movie of the year for me. I don't care if its only January. I can't imagine anything that could top it. (Except maybe The Hobbit but that's not out for another year!)

I think it may actually be the movie of 2010. Either way? It's at the top. Seeing it again, I was impressed even more with the storytelling involved. It isn't rushed - though the end always feels a little abrupt (might be the nature of the story itself) - and the characters all seem very real. I love it.

OMG, I cannot wait for The Hobbit!

Oh, I think you will really like Easy A. It's one of my favorite movies of 2010, clever and well written and I loved all the actors. I'm hoping to see the king's speech this weekend. ::keeps fingers crossed:: Enjoy the movie!

I really loved it! Especially the cast. (I'm a huge fan of Patricia Clarkson. And Stanley Tucci. And Emma Stone. Especially those three.)

Oh, I want to know what you think of The King's Speech. That's one I really want to see, but I doubt I'll be able to until it's on DVD. :/
