I cried, too. (Two shows in a row. Thanks Tuesday night TV. Thanks a lot.) And, yes, that hand touch was perfect. I love every scene between them.
The inconsistencies don't bother me so much (except for maybe how Quinn went from being, y'know, Quinn to apparently being the voice of calm and reason for those in need). It's just...sometimes they say things, or get into situations, that make me cringe. And then it stops being enjoyable for a few scenes. But then they sing, and it gets better. Or Kurt's dad shows up. Or Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Lynch go off to have hate sex. (How great were they? omg.)
For the bigger stuff, I try to blame the drama that is High School.
