Cellophane Flowers
Jan. 29th, 2004 10:40 pmLong time no update. OK, that's a lie. Not that long. And pretty much unmissed. It just feels like it's been awhile to me.
Le sigh.
I saw Big Fish last Friday. It was very good. But I have to say that it was much brighter than I expected from Tim Burton. Visually it was gorgeous, which is to be expected of course. I realized last weekend that Albert Finney played Daddy Warbucks in the 1982 film version of Annie. First I was shocked and disbelieving. Then I got over it and just laughed. I had NO IDEA that was him. Wow.
I have recently introduced Natasha and Dianalynn to the joys of Jim Henson's The Storyteller as well as, a little longer ago, Coupling. Natasha said I have the coolest collection of DVDs. Go me! I hope to buy the second season of Coupling on DVD as soon as I can, you know, get to the mall. Cause I highly doubt I'm going to find it on Broadway.
I'm listening to the Beatles. You know the song "Day Tripper"? The first time I heard it I could have sworn I heard "deeeeeeeeaaaaaaad tribble" instead of "daaaaaaaaay tripper".
Random, I know.

Date: 2004-02-05 05:50 pm (UTC)Yes, all authors everywhere should take a long holiday for the readers of the world to catch up to them. And then there's all of that stuff by the dead authors just sitting there! Sheesh.
