I've been going back and looking at the random things that get written in my writing notebook. So here is some random Tony/Tim from February. There are several other bits I'm thinking of typing and cleaning up. Because while a part of me is like, "But you could save that for longer fic," the more realistic part of me is going, "Pfft. What longer fic?"

Anyway. I used to think of this as the day following Movie Night and then [livejournal.com profile] ginnith pointed out it could happen any time.

I totally want to write Tony's "Operation: Distract McGee."

Tony hits enter on his keyboard and leans back, wincing at the certain inevitable soreness from his activities with Tim the night before. He stifles the grin that threatens to take over his face and shifts in his seat until he finds a position that’s comfortable. He disguises the movement with a stretch, throwing in an exaggerated yawn, just in case anyone’s watching.

He spins in his chair until he’s facing Tim, who’s typing diligently at his computer. It’s a slow day and Tim is doing…something. Tony’s not really sure. Or very interested. Tim’s good at his job and Tony trusts him with his life. That’s all Tony really needs to know.

Tony does like to watch him, though. For a while, anyway; too long watching Tim and then he has to act. He can’t not leave Tim alone. So he’s come up with excuses to watch Tim, reasons to turn in his direction in the bullpen that also serve as a cover for looking.

Reaching behind him, Tony grabs a loose sheet of paper and crumples it in one hand. He aims carefully and nails Tim on the side of his head.

Tim flinches, barely, used to Tony’s antics. He pauses in his typing, briefly, before going back to work. Tony does grin this time. So this is how they’re playing it today. Sometimes Tim reacts as soon as Tony starts; sometimes he tries to ignore him, even though he knows by now that’s not going to stop Tony.

Tony absently crumples another sheet of paper, distracted by thoughts of the many ways he could distract McGee. How long could Tim ignore him if Tony was on his knees blowing Tim while he tried to work? Would Tim be able to keep his focus trained on something else while Tony snuck his hand beneath Tim’s desk and teased open his zipper?

He shifts in his seat again, uncomfortable again but for a different reason. The more Tony thinks about it, the more he wants to do something. But there’s no way he could actually fit beneath Tim’s desk and he’s not exactly interested in being caught by Gibbs. Maybe the next time Tim sits down at his typewriter though…Operation: Distract McGee.

Tony takes aim again. This one lands on Tim’s keyboard.

Tim sighs and stops typing, licks his lips. “Tony,” he says, tossing the ball of paper into the trash can to the side of his desk. He doesn’t look over. “Don’t you have something better to do?”

If they were elsewhere, off-work, that would be Tony’s cue to leer at Tim, say, “Oh, yeah.”

But they’re not. They’re on the job, even if that job happens to be really boring at the moment. So Tony just crumples another sheet and smirks. “Nah,” he says. “I—”

“Have too much time on your hands,” Gibbs says, plucking the sheet out of Tony’s hand as he walks by.

Tony straightens in his chair, wincing at the movement. “No, Boss. Just giving my eyes a break from the screen. Back to work now. Busy, busy.”

He turns back to his keyboard and shifts in his seat. Out of the corner of his eye he can see Tim duck his head in an attempt to hide a smirk of his own.

Yea! I keep toying with "Operation: Distract McGee." Because you know Tony wouldn't be able to let a thought like that go.

I was thinking about "Operation: Distract McGee" at work. Because my work is boring and thinking about gay sex keeps me awake (I am very gald my coworkers have no idea what I think about).

While thinking about Tim and Tony at a desk, all these images came to mind about chair sex (Kirk/Spock captain's chair, Lex/Clark in Lex's awesome desk chair and what not). Then all I could think about was Tony trying to straddle Tim in a roller desk chair and being so enthusiastic, the chair tips over. In other words, awkward chair sex. I could really see them trying but just not getting it to work. O

I totally understand. There was that one time I wrote porn while working at the library, remember? Boy, that could have been awkward.

omg, Tony and Tim failing at chair sex would be hilarious. I can see it happening, too. I can also see Tony going to straddle Tim in the chair and being all smooth and sexy just to be thwarted because the chair keeps rolling away. Tony would get frustrated and Tim would be hella amused. Until Tony finally cornered him by backing him into something and then, oh yeah, sexy times.

Huh. Looks like maybe I found something to work on today. Or tomorrow at the library. ;)
