Coraline was fantastic. And beautiful, even if we didn't see it in 3D.

And the pacing! "Pace, pace, pace!" Nothing was rushed. The story was told in the time it needed. This makes me happy, as many things aimed at younger crowds rush things all of the time.

I think a re-read of the book is in order.

Coraline was fantastic! I wouldn't mind seeing it again. I did keep getting interrupted from the movie by my friend talking in her sleep. Every time I go the movies with this gal she ends up falling asleep!

Like I said I would love to see it again. I was thinking of asking you about going to the movies. I was thinking Coraline or Confessions of a Shopaholic.

OH and Yay! I can't wait to see! I hope the snow stops and then I won't have to be worried about the possibility of my bus being cancelled. Just to let you know, it's the same time as usual.

Oh, I was thinking about Confessions of a Shopaholic, too! I really enjoyed the books in that series. The ones that I read, anyway. :) We'll figure out what to do when you get here.

And YEA, you'll be here soon! Weather permitting. You're coming on Saturday, right? Dad and Tom are going on a roadtrip, so they won't be here. And we are going to make dinner for Mom Saturday night since it's Valentine's Day and she's been pretty busy.

i think we've discussed how much pacing affects the overall "feel" of a movie/tv show.

I believe we have. Pacing is especially a problem in media meant for younger audiences, since it can be more difficult to keep their attention. Or at least people in charge are afraid of losing their attention.

It really was lovely. And the book is written by one of my absolute favorite people.
