Peter and Walter are the best parts of Fringe so far.

During the opener, all I could think was, "Wow, it's just like an episode of House." Leading to the realization that House is just like any of the crime procedurals I watch but with wacky diseases causing chaos instead of nutjob criminals. Not that "realization" is quite the right word, since it's not like I didn't know this before. It was just more of an active thought.

Anyway, I had a feeling that there was something hinky with Peter last week when he and Walter first saw each other. Now with Walter being all, "Have you seen his medical file?" and wanting things all hush-hush...Well. Clearly something is going on there.

With Walter's reaction to Peter and Peter's level of genius, I'd put money on him being at least partially experimental in some way.

And House is back. Yea! The patient of the week reminded me a lot of Maggie Gyllenhaal. And that scene between House and Wilson? That final one? Worked for me. Not that I want House to lose Wilson, but they had to go there. Wilson couldn't just decide to leave and have House come in with his "I'm sorry"s and then decide to stick around. There just wasn't anyway he was going to shrug and say, "Well, great. Let me unpack."

Of course that doesn't mean much if in the next couple of episodes he ends up doing exactly that.

And I always like seeing a serious House.

I really enjoyed the other characters in this one. Especially Foreman and Chase.

Meanwhile, after Mom and I finished Slings & Arrows a couple of weeks ago we decided that we needed more Paul Gross and bought the complete series of Due South. The show came out in '93! When I was nine. This makes me feel really young and kind of lame and that's completely backwards from how it's supposed to work, isn't it? But I remember watching it with Mom when it first aired and completely loving it. I don't think any of my friends who are my age have ever even heard of it, which makes me kind of sad.

But tonight we watched the pilot and I'm really excited to watch more. To see which details I remember and which I completely forgot. It's like discovering a new show but with the special bonus of already loving the characters.

haha! YEA!! It's wonderful and I am so excited to watch it all with something more than a nine-year-old mentality.

Also, I've been taking The IT Crowd pretty slow, but I am loving it!

I have to say, when Wilson started to give his reasoning for leaving, I thought he was going to say he was in love with House. Is that wrong? Or just hopeful?

I thought that also! There was a moment when he started on his reason that made my mom turn around and look at me like, "Are they really going there?"

So to answer your question, I'm going to say not wrong. Because the subtext is so definitely there.
