Ten Random Things

The rules are: Once you have been tagged you have to write a blog with 10 weird or random things, facts, or habits about yourself.

At the end, you choose 5 people to be tagged, list their names, and why you chose them to be tagged. Don't forget to leave a comment that says, "Tag, you're it" on their profile and to read your latest blog.

1. If I don't have a sticky-note at the front of whatever book I'm reading, I have a sticky-note as at least part of a bookmark so that I can write down words I don't know and the page they're on in order to look them up later. I hate not knowing what a word means. If I don't have something to write it down, I tend to stop what I'm reading right there. I used to read fanfiction with a window open to a dictionary so I could look up words while online.

2. I always carry sticky-notes and a small, spiral notebook in my purse. Anything written on them usually gets transferred into whatever notebook I'm writing in at the time.

3. I can write something in the dark and have it be legible to more than just myself once it's light. Doesn't mean it's pretty. It's all in visualizing the space you're using.

4. I'm tempted to throw things at people in the theater almost every time I go. And not just the annoying ones. If there are people in front of me, there's usually at least one thought of, "What would happen if...?"

5. Whenever I watch romantic comedies, or anything really, I usually end up sticking Sheppard and McKay from SGA into the lead roles.

6. I have no problem with being tall. I hear some tall girls talk about how awkward it makes them feel and I just don't understand that. I only ever realize I'm that tall when I'm catch my reflection while standing next to someone shorter.

7. Living on a farm, you learn stuff like this: Harobed's, used to pick up bales of hay, are just the name "Deborah" backwards. Named after the inventor's daughter.

8. I don't get the appeal of Edward Rochester from Jane Eyre. I've never gotten the appeal of John Travolta. Or Grease. It kind of always bored me a little.

9. I love Persuasion more than Pride & Prejudice and it's entirely possible Mr. Darcy is not my favorite Austen hero. But I'm undecided about that.

10. I can snooze during movies in English because I can close my eyes and just listen. But put on a movie with subtitles and no matter how tired I am, I will fight to keep my eyes open because I'm afraid I'll miss something. I watched a pretty disappointing French movie because of this once. Should have just doozed off instead.

I'll tag five people, but don't do it if you don't want to. Which is why I'm not going to actually follow the directions and hunt you down let you know in your journals.
