Driving home in the dark in the snow is NOT FUN. Especially when part of that drive involves being sandwiched between a cliff-face and a drop into a river.

It's amazing that I've lived in Washington all of my life and never had to do that before.

What's also fun is when you can't see the road because it's turned all white. Good times. And then with the dark above and the snow flying, it's like being in one of those starfield screensavers. Or on Star Trek.

creepy... all you needed were some shadows that created a discontinuity in the aesthetic story telling of the plot and a man in his 50s or 60s screaming about the obvious aesthetic flaw...

It's funny that you mention that. I kept seeing shadows out of the corner of my eye, zooming around in the snow.

Yes. This is precisely the reason I decided I do not want to live with you and your family during the winter. As much as I appreciate the fact your parents were willing to take this pseudo-orphan in, there's no way I'd be able to drive in snow in situations like that. I can barely handle semi trucks in every direction. *shudder*

I totally don't blame you. Even driving in the day is questionable. And you have to plan things out like, if I go to Walmart now, can I be back before it gets dark and even more freezing? Which means there's a lot of making plans to do things (like go to the movies) and then abandoning them because no one wants to drive 45 minutes in the snow.

You need to come visit in good weather, though.

Yick. I hate that stretch of road in daylight. I cannot imagine it in the snowy dark. It's like all those nights of driving over Frenchman Hill at one in the morning. Only river or rock wall is scarier than hill or canal.

I avoided those curves on Frenchman tonight. I was a little afraid of the intersection by B&G. Not fun.

Be warm! Do you guys have heat, or are you just bundling up and saving money?

Oh god no, we gave in and turned on the heat around the first of the month. This would be....wretched without heat.

Be safe!
