Got my hair cut yesterday. Like it a lot. Today I just combed it back after my shower and let it air dry and it basically looked like it did when it was actually styled yesterday. Yea for ease! And laziness! Because it is way too hot to use a hairdryer.

Because of the heat and the laziness it causes, I have been completely awful at keeping promises and doing things for people. At least people on the internet. According to Kasey, I am a "dirty whore." This is not surprising. I really am. A dirty, lazy whore. ;)

Mom and I are still working our way through season three of Doctor Who. In the last couple of days we've watched "Human Nature," "The Family of Blood," and "Blink." While I enjoyed the first one, I thought that FoB fell flat in the middle. It was like they didn't have enough to make two solid episodes but they couldn't cut it down into one. So it drug on a bit for me. On the other hand, I absolutely loved "Blink." I'd heard good and intriguing things about it previously and then when the writing credit came up, I knew the chances of me enjoying it were good. "The Empty Child" and "The Doctor Dances" are two of my favorite episodes, with their combination of horror, humor, and hope. And while "hope" may not be exactly the right word, I think it works. There's a certain amount of triumph in the episodes, and along with it a belief, a faith, a hope in overcoming whatever that week's evil happens to be.

It makes sense in my head. Whatever. Not the point.

The point being that "Blink" was well balanced. It was frightening and funny ("This is my timey-wimey detector. It goes ding when there's stuff.") and clever. Oh, I loved how clever it was. Not only plot-wise, but also the characters themselves. Sally wasn't whiny; she did what she had to do and she did it without hesitation. (As far as I can remember.) It was wonderful to see.

I also really loved how things were choreographed. Especially the part where Sally finds the key to the TARDIS upstairs. The way the angels change position as she moves around the space was just very cool. And chilling.

So, yeah, obviously I really enjoyed it. I'd like to continue with the last three (Mom's already seen "Utopia," the sneak), but I'm going to have to wait a bit it looks like.

Meanwhile, BBC America has been running ads for Torchwood. So far, I've avoided spoilers for season two. I'm wondering how much longer that's going to last.

You gotta love Firefly for its insults.

I almost went with "ignorant slut."

OMG. Maybe not tonight. According to my printout I am only on page...10 of 31. But before you wake up in the morning?
