Be Wary of Fauns
Jan. 14th, 2007 10:34 pmOver the weekend Kay and I rented Mozart and the Whale, mostly because it was filmed in Spokane and Neesha and I had talked about it. It was cute. Josh Hartnett is adorable.
The movie I really want to recommend, however, is Pan's Labyrinth (El Laberinto del Fauno). When it was over I was a little dazzled and a lot floored. The way Guillermo Del Toro uses the camera is absolutely beautiful. This is one of those films that's going to haunt me for awhile, so see it if you get the chance. (Trailers can be found here.)
Although, I will say that it's really hard to cover your eyes when you're still trying to read the subtitles.
Apparently, Bravo is giving Tim Gunn his own show. I still hope is back for season four of Project Runway. What will it be like without him? Will they try to find someone else to fill his shoes? And who could fill them so marvelously?
