Busy, Busy Bee

It's six o'clock and I have half a page written of the eight page final due tomorrow.

I lose at diligence, but win at procrastination!

Strangely enough, I am in a very good headspace about this. I am not freaking out, although I will admit my chest feels a little tight, so it's possible (and very likely) that I am freaking out neck down and in denial neck up. My body is divided against me.

The school changed it's announcement this morning of class cancellation before 4 PM to full class AND office closure. Meaning no work for me! This gives me an extra four hours to procrastinate work hard on this paper. Plus, I can watch Veronica Mars and Nip/Tuck as they happen instead of later. Obviously it doesn't take much to excite me.

Oh, VM. Logan should not be allowed to make faces like he did at the end of last ep. Just no. I cannot handle it when he looks so very lost and sad. (Like I can't handle it when Rodney looks that way.) I care a lot more for him as a character than I do for Veronica lately. (Well, I've always cared about both of them, just now I care about her less.) And I really want to go back and watch parts of season one again when she was just such a snarky bitch. Not to say she isn't anymore, she's just...sharper? Colder? More jaded? Something. I don't want to say that I want S1 Veronica back, because good characters grow blah blah, but I kind of miss that girl from the pilot that dealt easily with Weevil and his gang without pause. Maybe it was the lack of personal connections. Now that more people care for her, and she cares for more people, maybe she's trying to pull away.

Anyway. The season's going to be interesting. Also, FYI, I don't care for Piz. At the very least this is as shallow as not liking his hair. At the very most it's, well, I just don't care for him that much. I like his hair, I think he's funny and kind of dorky-cute, but I don't really trust him a whole lot. No reason. (ETA: Obviously I didn't mean to say that I like his hair since I just said I didn't. I'm not sure what that was actually supposed to be now. Maybe I meant to repeat the fact that I don't like it and then juxtapose it with his good qualities? Whatever.)

Enough with the laziness. Better More important Required things to do.

By now hopefully you've watched VM, but if you haven't I won't say anything more than I totally agree about the Logan look. Emo Logan (as we've been referring to him here) makes me sad and I just want to go into comfort mode. There have been a lot of really great pre-emptive breakup mixes made for him (people speculating that it's inevitable, but loving him too much still).

And tonight's ep? There were flaily bits. I pity the person who watched it with me. I talked to the TV a lot. And speculated. A. Lot.

Speculation:: I'm guessing that because of how things played out, we'll see more Weevil in this arc! Yay! I miss Weevil sometimes.

Also... I think you're fantastic. Write your paper!

I was naughty today too. When I called my mom to share with her the wonderful news of it being a SNOW DAY she asked me what I was going to do with all my spare time. I told her that the responsible answer would be work on my paper, but I would probably just read harry/draco fanfics all day. Which is pretty much what I did. I did finish my paper though.:) Good luck on yours!

Of course it's inevitable. It's always been that way. They've got to, hmm, grow up (in a normal, non-having to deal with adult crap kinda way) a little bit more before they can really settle into anything. (Although they've been looking pretty settled to me, which is what I've been loving. The fact that we're not constantly seeing them fawning all over each other. They're just not that way.) I once heard (read?) someone describe the two of them being broken, but their broken edges fit together. And I think that's true. KB has said that she doesn't think Logan deserves Veronica (and JD was really surprised to hear that, poor dear, though he ended up agreeing). And I think that's partially true and will have to agree with JD on this one - Logan doesn't deserve Veronica yet. But he needs her. And I think he realizes some or all of this. He believes in them, but he knows neither of them are quite ready for what they have/could have.

There was a moment of "oh, oh, oh ::flail::" coordinated realization here tonight with Logan and the baseball bat and the police car. OMG Logan. Logan, Logan, Logan.

I called part of the ep. Sort of. As soon as RA-dude showed up in Piz and Wallace's room I was like, "Rapist!" Because of his shoes. He looked like the kind of guy who would wear the kind of shoes that we saw at the very beginning with Veronica all hurt on the floor. Suspicious shoes. Anyway, so not rapist, but accomplice. He was a baddy. Close enough.

Aw, I think you're fantastic, too. (But you still owe me an e-mail or two. :) ) On page 6. Calling it a night. Will finish in the morning. TOO MUCH BUDDHISM.

I...gosh, y'know, I don't really know how I wasted the day away. Watched the new SGA and only read a couple of pieces of fanfic. Oh, I did help decorate the Murphy office for Christmas. But where did the day go?
