It's One Big Giant Love Fest
Oct. 12th, 2006 12:47 pmI keep meaning to post about Project Runway, but every time I go to do it I just...don't.
So anyway. Last week's reunion show really just served to reinforce my opinions about everyone involved. Except for maybe Jeffrey. Every now and then he shows a glimmer of not being a jackass. Oh, and Keith. My opinion of him was, well, not completely negative after what happened because I had appreciated the outfits he had designed, but, wow, talk about being really snotty about it now. And, sure, maybe he has a right to be, but why on Earth would the producers want to get rid of someone with talent and personality?
(Also, randomly, I couldn't help but wonder if there was something going on between him and Alison.)
I was surprised, though I probably shouldn't have been, that a lot of the contestants didn't have anything to say. Or at least they didn't have anything to say that we got to see. Like Bradley (who looked WAY different). Did he ever really voice an opinion? The bit with all of his funny noises was amusing.
Loved the selection of Tim's vocabulary.
Previously I said that they should get them liquored up. I can now say I'm glad that they weren't. Tensions were high enough.
Now last night's episode...For most (all?) of the season I've wanted Michael to win. He's brilliant. He's talented. He deserves it. But, wow, was I unimpressed with what we got to see last night. Talk about really kind of blah.
My loyalty is conflicted!
It was Jeffrey's collection that I was most intrigued by and wanted to see. Unfortunately it's now starting to look like that might not happen. Did he cheat? Or did he just really power his way through all of that? I...don't know.
With Laura I was mostly impressed by her interaction with her kids. She seemed to me like maybe she'd be kind of colder, but she was right there with them looking for the turtle and getting on the floor despite being hugely pregnant. Also, her husband, who is apparently really famous in his own way (Tim talks about it in his podcast. I think it's architecture or something.) looks a little like Einstein and/or Zelenka.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone's collections.
Not much else to say. Tim burns like really white people do. Jeffrey's wife seems lovely and his kid is adorable. Uli's got an amazing view. And next week we'll finally find out what's what and who wins. Yea!
Is it just me, or was this week's Nip/Tuck just a tiny bit predictable? I mean, it wasn't really, but I kept calling things. Which is funny because I kept yelling out whatever seemed the most twisted/depraved/crazy. I think I've just stumbled on their formula. Have a fork-in-the-road plot-wise? Choose the insane path! Yup. The dream at the beginning was awesome. And surreal. Awesomely surreal.
I am so very glad Monica is dead. She was nuts. And really annoying. Crazy is one thing, annoying another. And I'm glad she's gone without Sean actually doing anything. I am looking forward to the continued appearances of Escobar. By the end of the season Sean's really going to be batshit, isn't he?

Date: 2006-10-13 06:58 pm (UTC)ugh. i was really mad by the end of the episode. not so much at Laura, but more at the fact that the producers would lead us to believe there are going to be 4 contestants and in the end we all know it's only going to be 3... it just seems that way to me. i dunno.
... i've been a jeffery fan... and a michael fan... leaning towards Michael, but Jeff's a REALLY close second...
