Pelicans!

Apparently there are two pelicans on our lake. Dad saw one two days ago and two yesterday. But when we drove down there, they were gone.

Mom thinks they're in his head.

Meanwhile, in the last month my brother has "adopted" four kittens. I say "adopted" because they really just showed up at his place. Three of them, anyway. The fourth appeared at his girlfriend's. They are adorable! One's stripped, another is sort of a creamy, ashy grey, and the last two are orange. The two orange ones are practically identical, except one has blue eyes and the other has brown. What I think is weird, though, is that it was one of the orange kittens that showed up at the girlfriend's. So it's probably just coincidence that they look so very similar.

And now that I'm talking about cats, I have to post a picture that makes me laugh every time I look at it. Our dog Bud and out cat Ginny get along really well. They're both friendly and laid back. Ginny especially in the laid back department. She'll let you manhandle her as much as you want, basically. Bud likes to snuggle with her. And lick her. And nuzzle. You always know when they've been together when you go to pet Ginny and your hand comes back wet.
