annundriel: (Books)
Spent the day training for the library's Summer Reading Program. Interesting mostly because I remember being a kid and getting involved with this sort of thing at the library and now I'm seeing it from the other side. It's neat.

I told Shannon that I was definitely willing to come in this summer whenever she wanted me. Run activities, lead crafts, read at story time. Some of which makes me a little nervous, but I'm sure I'll be fine. Especially since it won't be all day, every day.

I think it'll be a lot of fun.

And now I'm eating "Wildly Cherry" M&M's (yuuuum) and writing. Woo!

Just ran across the very end The Cobweb and had to stop because of the provided description: The director of a psychiatric clinic presides over the crisis of selecting new curtains for the library.

I found it about as amusing as the one about someone's psychedelic pants.

Isn't it funny how bizarre descriptions can turn you off of what could be a really good movie? Or show? Book?

One of the books we had a booktalk on today was Whales on Stilts! which apparently gets ignored, despite its many awards, because it has an ugly cover. Sad.
