Losing Power
Jan. 15th, 2008 01:28 pmWe lost power last night for about an hour and a half. Apparently the wind was strong enough that a transformer blew over. Or something. Our neighbor had to go out and do some plowing and apparently there were power lines on the road. Not good.
Dad, Mom, and I spent the time playing Bookopoly, which is Monopoly but instead of buying property you buy books. Mom basically kicked our asses. At one point near the end I was down to $6 and everybody had at least one bookstore built on all of their property. I was basically screwed. But it was a lot of fun and we should totally do it again sometime when we have electricity.
And now the sun is shining and the sky is blue and the ground is white as far as you can see and it's pretty, pretty, pretty.
Meanwhile, I've decided to put a stop to all my Torchwood spoiler reading. Not that I've done a lot, but I'd like at least one or two things to be unexpected by the time I actually get to watch the show. But we'll see. Sometimes I'm really bad at waiting.
