I feel pretty, oh so pretty....
Oct. 14th, 2003 09:44 pmWhere is everyone??
Made off with some neato frito stuff for my b-day. In no particular order:
-Bend It Like Beckham DVD and soundtrack (which I am listening to now). Tres cool. Both of 'em.
-Comfy, smushy pillow for my desk chair.
-More Lord of the Rings "trading" cards. Squee!
-A box of "Life's Little Instruction Fortune Cookies".
-Mooooney.
-Bookmark w/ sticky notes for studying. Two of my favorite things together as one!
-Classic authors (Shakespeare, Austen, Dickens) memo holders.
-Death: At Death's Door which I already own but have not read. EB is taking it back (or keeping it herself) and will do something else to replace it.
-Purple kitty-cat picture frame.
-Lovely cards.
-Lovely well wishes.
No one dropped the birthday cake. Thank goodness.
I worked from 3 to 6 today and got lots of stuff done. Holly only left me two things to do and I got them done with 45 minutes left on my shift. So they had to find other stuff for me to do. And I did those things and still had time! So I shelf read. Not so bad in twenty minute intervals, hellish in 120 minute ones. Have totally proven that I can handle the Library of Congress shelving system. (WOO) I just don't know what all of the letters stand for. So if someone asks me for the books on, say, American history I would have no idea where to tell them to look. But that's OK.
EB came by campus today and I got to show her around! AND see her newly sized RING!! So nice. The wedding won't be until at least June 2005 they think, but Aunt is already planning it. Apparently she had bought two wedding planning books before EB even got home from her trip. Chill already! You've got two years! Sigh. EB's dad offered her $10,000 to elope. I told her I would completely understand if she took it.
