Oct. 19th, 2005 01:29 pmApparently at work I now have something of senior status as a student worker. Three years and now I'll start to get more clerical/desk duties and not have to shelve as much. According to Susan. Yea. Of course, this meant that the last two days of work I did nothing but rewrite courier codes on all of the SB cards for Summit. All of them. There are a lot. I did this for four hours straight (mostly) both nights. Finished though. Go me. I'd much rather have my hand fall off from repetitive motion and writing than have to flag and shelve a cart of books.
Now I'm working on my Philosophy paper. I'm almost half-way through. It's relatively simple, not a research paper or anything. My biggest problem is that I just don't want to do it. But the paper itself is just an exegesis of one of the essays we've had to read so far this quarter. I chose Michael Kimmel's essay "Integrating Men Into the Curriculum." Interesting read.
Tonight I go see bell hooks. Really looking forward to it.
