Dorms! Yea!
Sep. 19th, 2005 09:02 amBack at school. Where the biggest excitements happen in the bathrooms. Over the summer they redecorated and the bathrooms are bigger! And better! Well, they're bigger. Someone somewhere screwed up on the toilet stalls, though. Either the toilets weren't put in properly, they are slightly off to the one side, or the TP dispenser and and feminine disposal-thing got put in on the wrong side. It's like having and arm rest and you have sort of move your legs around. It's not comfortable. I told Natasha that even the really skinny people must be having problems with it. Plus, two of the stalls, including the new handicapped one, don't have anything in them if you were to use them.
Good thing they're not done yet. If this was all we were getting it would really suck.
Best thing, though? The new shower stalls, which I do have some problems with, have higher shower-heads. Yes, you know what this means. I, in all of my freakishly tall height, can finally stand directly under the water instead of contorting my spine to get my hair wet! It is very exciting. I'll forgive them for taking away some of the other nice shower stall things just for that.
All of the hallways have also been painted and re-done. We got the pretty red and grey and not the icky yellow or green. So that's nice for us. It makes the hallway look smalled and more intimate I think. Mom thought it made it look kind of like an office building. It's pretty nice.
Move-in yesterday was pretty seamless. Well, okay, seamless. I have no complaints. Although our microwave is missing. What's with that? Where did it go? They are supposed to be screwed to the top of the fridge, but ours never was and now it's gone. Weird.
No more quiet floor. Natasha and I are going to become the crazy bitches who tell you to shut it all of the time. "I'm not anti-social, I just don't want to talk to you."

Last night after Natasha got off work, we watched SG-1's "48 Hours" so she could see wee!McKay, followed by Sin City, and then SG-1's "Redemption Part 1 and 2." All of the SG-1 was so she could get a sense of McKay pre-Atlantis. And Sin City was because she hadn't seen it before. I'd forgotten just how *cool* it is. Fun times.
