Just got an e-mail from my (previous) employer asking if I intend to return to work at the circulation desk.

At this point, I have three choices:
1) I stick with my job at the library.
2) I apply for a desk assistance job for one of the dorms.
3) I say "screw work!" for the quarter/year and live in poverty and class-work loaded bliss.

Three's not really workable since I would like to have some extra moola to throw around at places like Suncoast and Barnes & Noble and the movie theater. Also, for food. But it's fun to think of having days and nights of leisure where all (ha!) I have to worry about is when the next essay is due and whether or not the reading for next class is finished.

Right now, I'm leaning toward returning to Circulation. It will be my third year there and I know the people and the system (unless they've up and changed the way they do things). It's mindless work and keeps me busy and I'm pretty good at it. (Is it pathetic to be really good at mindless work? Or maybe it's just mindless because I'm good at it? I know that while shelving I've definitely found a lot of stuff mis-shelved by the other student workers. Maybe I just rock like that.) Plus, I wouldn't have to interview for it.

Hmm. I've got until September 15th to decide. Must discuss options.

If you don't mind where you're working then I would just stick with it! It's a bitch to have to learn new things and it just gets frustrating and nervewracking when you don't know things.

Mindless work is the best, especially while in school. The less you have to worry about it, while still getting dinero, is the best.
