Let Us Traumati...er...Entertain You

Felicia called today to see if I had SG-1 Season 2 on DVD. I don't. (Mom and I are discussing it though.) I told her I'd just finished watching "Hathor" from season 1 and she asked, "Didn't it traumatize you?" At the time I said yes, but thinking about it now, I'm not so sure. I mean, yes it's kind of traumatizing and I feel really horrible for Daniel. That was rape. Ick.

So, traumatizing? Yeah, a bit. But you don't know traumatizing until you watch Farscape. Now *that* show pulls out all of the stops when it comes to what they'll do to (one of) their main character(s). You don't know traumatized until you see Scorpius and the Aurora Chair. You don't know traumatized until you see Crichton's eyeball get pulled out of his head and then put back in. You don't know traumatized until you see the tendril things from Scorpius implant crawl across Crichton's brain. Until you see Grunchlk bite of his own finger and Grayza use her evil boob-sweat. Also? The puppet sex was pretty much something I didn't need to think about, let alone see.

That show is traumatizing. And one of the best damn sci-fi shows out there. Now SG-1 is really really good (and ditto the "one of the best"), but so far the grossest thing it has done is show the Goa'uld wormy things. Honestly? The Wraith freak me out more than the Goa'uld. Also, they don't have a funky apostrophe.

OK, back to work. :)

Although....Is it weird how alike Michael Shanks and Ben Browder look? Neesha, any thoughts on that?

Yay for traumatizing Farscape! and yes, traumatzing is when you get to see ANY of that show... *and that is why we love it!!*

You're completely right. You watch any part of it and it's like "omg my eyes! ::dead::"

That was what I was thinking the entire time I was watching the SG1 ep with Claudia. Her taste really doesn't change much, does it? Maybe she steps up to someone who she would see as someone more on her intelligence level, but otherwise...they're similar. A lot. To be quite honest, that's one of the first things that really drew me to Crichton as a character before I got to know his character...he was a lot like Daniel Jackson only...clumsier or something. Now I love them both as separate characters that sometime remind me of each other. All in all....ten bazillion geekboyfetish points divided up equally among the two of them.

My only dilemma in this post is...do I go SG1, Farscape or Fargate with the icon....decisions decisions.

(BTW- I don't have any plans other than that I'll see Seth, Dahli and Corky in one fell swoop on Sunday hopefully. That should be on my way out of town sometime in the afternoon. Saturday is all yours, tho, dahlin...have your way with me and subject me (willingly of course) to whatever fandom you like. I'm completely open to suggestions. In a non suggestive kinda way.)

See, I don't see Daniel and John being all that similar personality-wise. I mean, yeah, they're alike, but mostly the similarities I see are physical...And now that I'm really thinking about it, they're probably closer personality-wise than I originally thought. But I can see how you'd be attracted (as in, pulled towards, not ::drool:: although that too) to John because of the similarities. Because they are there. And they're both pretty. :)

I'm going to go with the neutral dancing Lex icon. 'Cause then I'm not snubbing anyone *and* I get to watch him dance.

Saturday is ours! Yea! What are we going to do? Do we want to go somewhere? Do we want to stay in? It's up to you just how subjected you want to be to...things. :) 'Cause I can go either way. We could go out to lunch or stay in. Or we could do both or something. I don't know. I'm a little spacey right now from finals, so yeah. Be suggestive. ;) In a non-suggestive kinda way.

I can't wait!
