Because some days you just need a .gif of Castiel looking ridiculously pretty to get through the day. Mmmhmmm.



That stare. Those eyes. The eyelashes, which I didn't notice in this much before but are suddenly, oh my, a bit of a fixation. The cheekbones. The mouth.

Outside of objectifying, I love that stare. I love that there's so much in it, both in that moment in particular and on the show in general, that you really do get the sense that there is something otherworldly behind it. Non-human. Not inhuman, because there's a certain coldness to that and Castiel has shown himself to be anything but. Try as he might have to fight it, Dean's influence is strong.

Don't mind me. I am feeling massive love for Castiel today. Not any different from how I usually feel about the character, but today it's hitting me like a ton of bricks.

And now, back to writing.

I was trying to pinpoint what it was about that particular stare that gets me, and I think otherworldly, yes, that's it. It's clear and steady and deep, and there are just clearly lots of things going on behind it.

I love Castiel so hard. I don't know what it is about the last two days that have kicked that up a notch.

It's ridiculously hard for me to look away from that gif. Just...damn. And, yeah, I may have watched the sweep of those eyelashes more times than is strictly necessary.
