I really loved last night's challenge on Project Runway. It was something they haven't done before and Rebecca Romijn is fantastic.
I kind of wish Michael Kors had been there, though. Would have liked to hear what he had to say about one or two of the designs.
There was a moment last night where I thought it was kind of interesting the top designs were all done by women and the bottom two were men.
Loved:
- Shirin's design. Absolutely, totally loved it. I would were that, pregnancy outfit or not.
Liked:
- Althea's design was gorgeous, but as soon as the model came down the runway I knew someone was going to comment on the cup-size. Which I think would be easily fixed. The idea translates, anyway. I really loved the back.
- Carol Hannah's was really cute, particularly liked the color.
- Christopher's was flowy and bouncy and pretty.
- Louise. It may have looked like lingerie, but it was so pretty! And feminine. I loved all the detailing and the fact that Louise seemed to have it together throughout the episode.
- Gordana. Irina. Qristyl.
Meh:
- Epperson. I didn't dislike it, it just didn't really do anything for me. Although, the more I look at pictures of it, the more I really like the bust and back. I just thought the over-coat thing looked a little stiff and bulky on the runway.
- Johnny. Again, I didn't dislike it. Just didn't knock me over, either.
- Logan's design was clean and comfortable looking.
- Nicola's looks the least pregnant of the models.
Disliked:
- Sorry, Malvin. I get your concept, I really do, but I don't think it was executed well. Maybe if the "sling" part hadn't been in such a different color? ::shrug::
- Okay, Mitchell's design is going under "Disliked" because she looked like a pregnant high schooler from The Hills. I mean, don't you expect to turn on Lifetime one of these days and see her in a made for TV movie where her rich parents didn't love her enough and she got knocked up by her douchebag of a boyfriend who then dumped her to go out with the head cheerleader?
- Oh, Ra'mon. Nice try?
